Apple Tipped to Adopt Samsungs Privacy Display Technology for MacBook Models by 2029

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is likely to be the first one to have its Privacy Display feature in future flagship phones, according a statement Samsung has already confirmed. The newest leak comes as it suggests Apple will use Samsung’s privacy display technology for its laptop lineup. Several settings are available for changing the visibility of smartphone screens in Samsung’s new features, including multiple options to control their screen brightness. Using it allows users to see their screen more clearly in busy areas from side angles and prevents local onlookers from seeing what’s going through the user’d monitor.

MacBooks Could Get Samsung’s Privacy Display Feature

In a statement from Omdia, Ice Universe (@UniverseIce), which has been quoted as saying that Samsung’s new Privacy Display technology could be the next step to Apple’ll MacBook lineup by 2029. The solution is likely to provide a customisable privacy experience, unlike traditional privacy screen protectors that permanently dim displays.

While Apple has yet to confirm this development, we expect that Apple’s premium MacBook models will be able to use Samsung’S privacy display technology first.

In the past, Samsung has viewed Privacy Display technology with teaser videos. The feature will be released first on the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, presumably on its GalaxyS26 Ultra. Users can adjust screen visibility levels, allowing users to limit the number of people near it by their preferred privacy settings. A device that is designed to prevent shoulder surfing in buses, elevators and queues has been adapted as part of this hardware and software-based privacy system which attempts to stop shoulder surf.

Users will be able to protect specific elements of their on-screen experience, such as notification pop-ups or specific apps.
