The soft-opening of Quantum 5G FWA by BSNL took place only in certain Indian markets – a 5G-based internet lease line for businesses. No SIM cards, no wires; claim BSNL, it is India`s first completely wireless 5G FWA, built with indigenous technology.

One week after crowdsourcing a name for a 5G service meant for the masses, BSNL is concentrating all its energies on finding the right connectivity to offer to users. This means not just the 5G rollout is imminent, but the telco is also ramping up its 4G network. The DoT is to seek cabinet approval for the expansion of 4-G services of the state-owned telecommunication operator, temporary connectivity grown under the auspices of MOS Dr. Chandrasekhar Pemmasani.
