Civilization VII Coming to iPhone iPad as Part of Apple Arcade in February

Apple Arcade will be the first to see Sid Meier’s Civilization, Firaxis Games’ popular real-time strategy franchise based on his book “Sid meier” coming out with their newer brother. According to Apple Thursday that the game subscription service for Civilization VII, which was released on PC and consoles in 2025, will be launched February 5 with its game subscriber program nearly a year after it hit PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Platforms. The strategy title will also be available on iPhone and iPad with the Apple Arcade release.

Civilization VII Coming to Apple Arcade

The touch controls on iPhone and iPad will be included in Sid Meier’s Civilization VII Arcade Edition. It was already on Mac, and will now be available for play with an Apple Arcade subscription to play the game free.

Apple Arcade’s release of Civilization VII is another PC and console title to be released for the next generation of Apple devices. In addition to PowerWash Simulator and Cult of the Lamb Arcade Edition, Apple arcade has recently added Powerwash SIMulators and a third-party version of its library of games.

Originally released on PC (Windows, Mac, Linux), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and Nintendo Switch on February 11, 2025, Civilization VII was originally launched on the computer. Nintendo Switch 2 released it as a launch title on June 5 for its release.

Three More Games Heading to Apple Arcade

On February 5, Apple announced that it will add three more titles to the Apple Arcade library alongside Civilization VII, along with adding “a further three titles” to its library. Apple Vision Pro’s Retrocade First up is a for the first time. This allows users to play arcade games in a fully realised retro arcade, where Retrocade returns the clocks back to the ‘80s. Retrocade will feature classic arcade games such as Asteroids, Bubble Bobble, Centipede, Galaga and more. These titles can also be played on iPhone and iPad, while Vision Pro provides the most immersive way to play them.

Besides attending Apple Arcade, is rhythm title Felicity’s Door and puzzle game I Love Hue Too+. All games that join Apple Arcade will not be ads or in-app purchases, and all games will have no advertisements.
