Crimson Desert to Get Difficulty Settings Boss Rematches and More Improvements in Upcoming Patches
For content updates for the open world game, Crimson Desert developer Pearl Abyss is not stepping off the pedal when it comes to its foot-off. In a dev update Friday, the South Korean studio shared ‘preparation of new Crimson Desert features, content and enhancements that are currently in development’ with an announcement from its south Korean counterpart. This action-adventure title will be revivable boss fights, new difficulty settings and a series of improvements across the board.
Crimson Desert New Features in Development
Pearl Abyss has pushed regular updates since Crimson Desert released on March 19, overhauling the gameplay experience. Initially initial play to the game was mixed due in part to problems, but soon after developer released a patch that addressed the most pressing issues of interest. Several patches have since been issued to Crimson Desert, which has added new features and quality-of-life improvements.
In a new blog post, Pearl Abyss confirmed that it was working on “a wide variety of new content and improvements for Crimson Desert” in ‘crimsons desert. New challenges for players are one of the biggest changes in development, as is one that . s such as boss rematches, a. new-blockading of liberated areas and an absence from the game’s difficulty setting are among those that include “The most important is to be sure I have been in trouble.” An update will provide easy, normal and hard difficulty settings for Crimson Desert.
Similarly, Pearl Abyss is working on new character improvements. Damiane (left) and Oongka will be the two ancillary playable characters, who are to acquire their own skills similar to Kliff’s main protagonist. In addition, players will be able to customise how they look in the game by having an option to hide weapons on their character’s back. Additionally, new costumes will be added to the game.
Also, Crimson Desert will see more QOL improvements such as a new specialist storages for food, gatherables, wardrobe and collections. Pearl Abyss will also add new summonable mounts and pets to the game as well.

Crimson Desert is also scheduled to receive further system and graphical improvements at the end of its run-through, as well as additional graphics. The game’s complex control scheme has been a source of frustration for players since launch, and Pearl Abyss has refined controls over several patches. Now the studio will offer some controller input customization options for certain controllers. Similarly, the studio is planning to extend its line of customizable keyboard and mouse keys range. Moreover, the game will also receive a new set of UI improvements.
Pearl Abysson, who is working on improving the visual quality of distant backgrounds in the game, says he’s trying to improve it on the graphics front. Studio posted screenshots of distant landscapes that are more detailed than game’s current visuals, which show a higher level.
The studio said final details could be different when the patch is released, and updates announced Friday are in development, with final information potentially changing. Pearl Abyass hopes these updates will be rolled out slowly from April through June, as the company plans to roll them out under pressure.
The PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X version of Crimson Desert was released on March 19 with a release called Crimmon Desert. The open world action-adventure title has sold more than 4 million copies since its opening world debut.
