10 May: The Gaming Leaks and Rumours went batshit crazy. Eurogamer traced the spark-the different variants of reports spoke of a user claiming to have snagged the Collector’s Edition two whole days in advance, May 8th. The game were out there.

An unlucky developer tasked a poor coder with having to scrub leaks that made it to the public. Said developer leaked almost all of Doom: The Dark Ages through unofficial means. Not a single pixel remained spared- menus, interfaces, the demonic bestiary, the armory, character reveals, and pivotal cutscenes were all exposed to the slings and arrows of internet publicity.
