Honor Unveils Humanoid Robot Blade Battery Tech at MWC 2026; Robot Phone Confirmed to Launch in 2026

Honor unveiled a series of ideas at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 on Sunday, which showcases ambitions beyond traditional smartphones. A recent demonstration of its highly anticipated robot phone, which is built around its Magic V6 foldable, was demonstrated by the China-based company once again with more details about its features and availability this time around. As part of its AI push, Honor introduced a prototype for ‘humanoid robots’ and announced he has launched redesigned Blade Battery specifically for foldable devices.

Honor Robot Phone Features 200-Megapixel Gimbal Camera

Robot Phone is one of the company’s most notable showcases featuring . It is based around the Honor Magic V6 and is first teased in October 2025. A smartphone body is equipped with a 200-megapixel camera that features what Honor calls an industry first three-axis mechanical gimbal inside its own phone body.

A small four-degrees-of-freedom structure, backed by a custom micro motor, is the system’s support according to the brand. is said to be 70 percent smaller than traditional solutions. The level of miniaturisation, Honor says, allows robot-grade motion control to fit inside a standard smartphone chassis built from 2800MPa high-strength materials engineered with precision. In dynamic shooting, the mechanical gimbal is promoted to enable advanced stabilisation (spreader-less footage) with smoother video.

Additionally, the Honor Robot Phone has AI-backed camera capabilities. AI object tracking, for example, allows the camera to lock onto and follow subjects in real time (e.g. meanwhile, the AI SpinShot feature allows controlled 90-degree and 180- degrees rotations for cinematic transitions.

agents, and agentic shooting tools like ). It is partnering with German motion picture film equipment manufacturer ARRI to integrate professional cinema expertise into its mobile imaging solution, Honor says. According to the brand, the Honor Robot Phone will be commercially launched in the second half of 2026 (although it was initially available only for China). There has been no announcement of pricing for .

Company’s First Humanoid Robot

The same event saw Honor unveil its first humanoid robot at the time, honor unveiled its inaugural human-oism. But unlike companies which focus on industrial environments, Honor says its robots are being designed from the beginning for consumer environments. But its robots will focus on three core scenarios, the company said ‘Shop support, workplace inspection and supportive companionship.

During Honor’s emphasis, “the experience of developing smartphones and connected devices gives them an intimate understanding of how people use their phones.” In the brand’s view, this ecosystem continuity will help future embodied AI devices to recognise users in order to understand them and provide personalized physical support from the very first interaction.

The humanoid robot performed a series of remote-controlled gestures and poses in front of the audience during the event. Honor has not, however, revealed its specifications, pricing or a commercial production timeline.

Honor Blade Battery With Silicon-Carbon Technology

Honor also demonstrated its Silicon-Carbon Blade Battery technology for foldable smartphones, announcing last week’s speech at the end of March. It also has an energy density of more than 900Wh/L, according to the company’s statement that the battery “upgrades silicon content up to 32 percent” (adequate with over 950WH/ L). It said the Blade Battery ‘was intended to be for future foldables that could have capacities of up to 7,000mAh and beyond, but slim profiles were maintained.

Honor presented a visual demonstration of Guinness World Record holder Rick Smith Jr. to highlight the thinness and durability of the battery, called “Honness” (the term for this case) , who threw a playing card that spun through the air. The clip then suggested that the “card” was actually the ultra-thin battery itself.

It was, however, showcased as a technology preview, and no concrete details about its production were announced.
