iQOO 15R Battery Capacity and Thickness Revealed Ahead of Launch in India

The new addition to the flagship iQOO 15 line will be launched in India soon after launch of the newest version of its upcoming eQO 15 range. The Vivo sub-brand has revealed details of the next handset in the days leading up to its launch. The iQOO’s latest announcement comes as it revealed the battery capacity of the eQO 15R. The iQOO 15R will be much larger battery than the 7,000mAh cell of the IQO 15 and its ilQo 15.

iQOO 15R Battery Details

The official iQOO account posted in an X post that the ‘iqOO 15R will be equipped with 7,600mAh battery for its eQo 16R. The teaser also hints that it is the “slimmest smartphone in the 7,600mAh category” of India. Next handset confirms to be 7. The thickness of is 9mm.

As per the company, the iQOO 15R, despite its large cell, has been designed to feel light in the hand.

Earlier, iQOO teased its new mid-flagship will be powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 built on a 3nm process. It reportedly scored an AnTuTU benchmark score of over 3+. 5 million points. The company says it will deliver about 36 percent better CPU performance and approximately 46 percent more NPU performance.

Also, a microsite also shows that the iQOO 15R is fastest smartphone in the under Rs. A 55,000 price segment – which suggests it is in its price range, has been classified as being priced at 550,000. Hence, this means the next iQOO 15R will be launched at an identical price as the OnePlus 15RA which was released in December 2025 in India for Rs. starting from now onwards. A total of 47,999 for the base 12GB of RAM and 256GB onboard storage is 48,999.

The OnePlus 15R, notably, also uses the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip as the upcoming iQOO 15R.

But other than that, the firm has already confirmed a Dark Knight colourway for its new handset. Similarly teased to be sold in India in a blue variant, it is also tease with the name of this colourway still under wraps.
