Naughty Dogs Neil Druckmann Mentions Road Ahead for the Last of Us Teasing the Last of Us Part 3

Neil Druckmann of The Last of Us, a series by Naughty Dog, has suggested that the show could eventually have ‘a third game at some point in the future’. Druckmann, who has been a friend of the action-adventure franchise’s third chapter, said there is “a road ahead” for The Last of Us. Naughty Dog and Druckmann are currently working on the studio’s new IP, Intergalactic, so a potential The Last of Us Part 3 could well be years away from now.

Druckmann has compiled his long-held concept sketches for The Last of Us in a recent social media post, which depicts characters that ultimately became protagonists Joel and Ellie. The post cited Druckmann as saying “I am very proud of the journey of video game franchise, which has also produced a hit HBO TV series.” Similarly, He added “It’s probably going to be more for me in the beloved PlayStation franchise,” which is also known as an iconic video game.

I came across the garage today and stumbled on my original sketches from 2003 for a game pitch about ‘a man, his surrogate daughter and an trek through smashed America’ Druckmann wrote in an Instagram post earlier this week.

“Been a wild journey. Grateful for every part of it, especially the few stops that remain on the road ahead.”

That last bit suggests Druckmann intends to develop The Last of Us Part 3 at some point.

In the past, the Naughty Dog boss said he has had a concept for Part 3 in mind. Having only been thinking about it, ‘Is there a concept there?’ And for the past years I haven’t found that idea. Earlier this year, he said that Naughty Dog could not be on The Last of Us Part 3 but may have been off to work for the . However, Druckmann is now working full-time on games so he could be developing an idea for a sequel to The Last of Us Part 2, along with Intergalactic The Heretic Prophet. druckman resigned last year from HBO’s The Last of Us and said he would not be returning to work on the third season of the show.

In a statement, the Naughty Dog boss said that he was “remaining on the studio” as well as its future projects including writing and directing Intergalactic The Heretic Prophet (and his duties as studio head and head of creative work). Druckman was the first two seasons star in The Last of Us television show, and starred with Craig Mazin as well as his own father.
