Cyberpunk 2077 fans brace yourselves. CD Projekt Red has put the final brakes on Update 2.3, relegating it into the limbo of “when it’s ready” for release. Previously set for a June 26 release alongside the game’s debut on Switch 2, Update 2.3 now finds itself trapped somewhere in development limbo.
Though CD Projekt Red refuses to go on record about particular additions, they do indicate that it will be roughly the size of the Update 2.2 upgrades. Think deeper character customizations, enhanced photo mode features, and possibly various other gameplay alterations aimed at polishing up the Night City experience. “The launch of Update 2.3 has been pushed back: June 26 was the planned date. This is just like putting the final polish on something really special: we want an epic content drop to take place, as was Update 2.2! Until then, hold on. We will share the release date very soon.”

It seems update 2.3 for Cyberpunk 2077 is being pushed with the crowning of a REDstreams event purportedly celebrating the Nintendo Switch 2 launch slated for June 5. The update is in the hands of associate game director Pawel Sasko at CD Projekt Red.
Keeping with the launch on Switch 2, Cyberpunk 2077 became the most unexpected system seller. Defying all expectations for a gritty RPG, it came at the top of the third-party sales charts, beating even the Witcher 3’s original Switch release.
