Resident Evil Requiem Gets New Leon Gameplay at Resident Evil Showcase
Capcom’s new look at gameplay was a fresh take on the game of Resident Evil Requiem, the next survival horror game that will be released Thursday in an interview with reporters during the ResIDENT Evil show. Capcom also showed more of the action gameplay available to players via Leon S through a player’s playthrough with Cap Com. A feature of the Resident Evil show aired Leon’s role as Requiem’S second playable protagonist at The Game Awards 2025 was to discuss his release as part of this year’. At first, Capcom had referred to FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft as the game’s protagonist and focused on stealth-focused survival horror gameplay. Resident Evil Requiem will allow players to play brutal action with Leon, a character that uses stealth and is similar to Grace’s character in which the characters are played by violent action.
Resident Evil Reqiuem Gameplay Details
According to game director Koshi Nakanishi, players will essentially be allowed to play two games with Grace and Leon the former’s parts are more similar to the horror aspects of Resident Evil 2 and 7, while the latter’d parts “requisite” the thrilling tension of Reident evil 4.
Capcom released a new look at Leon’s gameplay in Requiem, which will focus on shooting and melee attacks. Leon is able to kill enemies in the leg and kick them off with a powerful kick, which allows Leon to shoot down enemies.
But Leon will also be equipped with a tomamhawk, which can parry the coming melee attacks and land ‘a finishing blow on weakened infected peoples of war against guns’. He will also be able to pick up weapons dropped by enemies, such as s. Leon can be seen slicing an enemy in two, picking up a chainsaw and licking the same thing as another for example in the new gameplay.

Unlike the bloody action gameplay of Leon, Grace’s parts in Resident Evil Requiem will be played in narrow areas. But she will have limited access to ammo and must smuggle around enemies to survive. But Grace, however, will be given a powerful revolver called “Requiem”, which can kill multiple enemies in one shot.
Capcom has also introduced a new crafting system, wherein players will need to use infected blood to create specialised injectors.

Also, Capcom described the advantages that come with the Deluxe Edition of Resident Evil Requiem. These include more costumes for Leon and Grace, weapon skins and screen filters.
Aside from the PC, PS5, Xbox Series S/X and Switch 2 on February 27, it said that when GeForce Now launches its cloud playable version of this product will also be available.
