New Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Leak Suggests RAM Upgrade
Supposedly, Samsung Galaxy S26 will wash away the word “smooth.” Tipster Jukan Choi (@Jukanlosreve) has just dropped an atomic bomb, citing Macquarie Research: now brace yourselves for 16GB of RAM, to the extent that it sounds incredible. So this leak is not about small upgrades, it is practically a quantum leap. Imagine every Galaxy S26, wherever you buy it, coming with buttery-smooth 16GB. Did this mark the beginning of multitasking without lag? S25 series, you are warned!
The full RAM capability of the Galaxy S25 range is meant only for the Ultra, offering an imposing 16GB in select regions such as Korea and China. Meanwhile, the common Galaxy S25 along with its battering sibling, the S25+, gets content with 12GB.
Word is that the iPhone 17 is about to receive a significant memory upgrade! With leaks scattered all over, Apple may wind up with a 12GB RAM SKU across the entire iPhone 17 family-from the basic iPhone 17 and the supposed iPhone 17 Air, to the Pro and Pro Max versions, all set to be launched in September this year. Now that would be an explosion in performance from the existing 8GB RAM capacity of the iPhone 16! Interesting enough, rumours float that still for the iPhone 18 series, 12GB will be maintained, making way for the iPhone 17 to cause the RAM revolution.
In fact, memory configurations in the Galaxy S26 series will be monstrous, by all accounts, something that surely would have brought forth a whole new level of Galaxy AI finesse, seamless multitasking, and immersive gaming experiences. As of now, Samsung seems to be reclaiming its throne in this very competitive market, especially with Chinese vendors raising the ante with prices of up to 24GB of RAM. Is the S26 perhaps Samsung’s answer to the mighty OnePlus 13 and Red Magic 10 Pro series at the 24GB figure?
