Slack Upgrades Slackbot With New AI Features to Turn It Into an Enterprise Agent
Over 30 new artificial intelligence (AI) features are being added to Slackbot by Slaack, as it is bringing more than 30 different AI capabilities. The new capabilities of the AI assistant for the Salesforce-owned platform are designed to transform it into an AI agent for enterprise needs. Most of these new features are based on the existing apps inside Slack, which connect third-party enterprise tools and platforms with workspace messaging platforms. Now with the agentic extension, Slackbot can do more complex work-related tasks autonomously for the user.
Slackbot Is Now an Enterprise Agent
In a newsroom post, Slack announced that the new features are coming to the platform in an article about “the new feature of “. Compared to Anthropic’s Claude Cowork or Microsoft’S Copilot, the features are similar to what anarchist offers; however, with the ecosystem benefits of Slack’d-connected apps and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
With these new features, Slackbot has the ability to take notes in virtual meetings and share meeting transcriptions with participants. But that’s not all about . It also provides relevant information across the connected apps and enterprise systems to contextually surface actionable recommendations for users.
