Sony Shadow Drops Action-Platformer God of War Sons of Sparta Reveals God of War Greek Trilogy Remake
The developer behind the God of War franchise, Santa Monica Studio, has kept its next projects under wraps since it released God Of War Ragnarok in 2022. During Sony’s State of Play broadcast in the early hours of Friday, it finally revealed what games has been on its work on at their famed studio “The game that I have worked on is now being announced by this famous studio.” They now have one of them available for play to s. Santa Monica shadow dropped God of War Sons of Sparta, a 2D action platformer, at the livestream and said it was working on remaking an adaptation of the God Of War Greek trilogy.
God of War Sons of Sparta Available Now
It is now exclusively available on the PS5 with God of War Sons of Sparta, co-developed by Santa Monica and Mega Cat Studios, who has been renowned for its work on retro games. It is available to download the game from the PlayStation Store for $30 in the US (Rs) – and you can also get it. In India 2,497 (in india).
The 2D action platform Sons of Sparta follows the journey of a young Kratos as he trains to become ‘Spartan warrior’. But Santa Monica confirmed that “the game’s story is a part of the God of War canon” (Santan Monica said). Sons of Sparta is based at the Agoge, the brutal Spartian training program where Kratos proves his mettle with his brother Deimos.

The return of TC Carson as the voice of older Kratos is notable in God of War Sons of Sparta. Carson starred as the iconic Spartan in the original Greek God of War trilogy, before Christopher Judge appeared in God Of War (2018) and God for War Ragnarok. Carson is playing the role for the first time in more than a decade as Kratos’ adult version, telling the story of Sons of Sparta. The game’s protagonist Antony Del Rio is the voice of Young Kratos in the game.
It’s a series that has been known for its intense action combat focus on the platformer’. The Gift of Olympus is the gift that grand unique abilities Kratos will be armed with a spear and shield, as well as many divine artifacts known as an “armour” or sword. During the game’s reveal trailer, a young Kratos can be seen in an array of monsters and enemies that are common among all types of creatures. The game is played in a retro art style, with beautiful hand-drawn pixel animation of the game.
God of War Sons of Sparta is available in Standard and Digital Deluxe editions on the PlayStation Store.
God of War Greek Trilogy Remake Revealed
San Santa Monica also revealed her new venture at State of Play after two decades in God of War franchise, Santa. The studio is also reportedly working on the adaptation of original God of War Greek trilogy, which was remade as it has been reported. No details of gameplay for the game were released by Santa Monica as to how it would have been played in a . The remake is in early development and Santa Monica said that it would be a long time before they reveal any details about the game.
“When we can come back with an update, we aim to make it a big one,” the studio said.
But, sadly, Santa Monica did not reveal the next mainline God of War game that is said to be in the future, too. Kratos has yet to be confirmed by the studio for his next adventure, . Additionally, Santa Monica’s Cory Barlog, director of God of War (2018), is said to be working on a new game for Santa.
