Sony Working on New Franchise Within God of War Universe Will Reportedly Feature Faye as Protagonist

Santa Monica Studio’s next God of War project has long been a closely guarded secret for the next few years as it was being developed by Santa. In a recent shadow of the studio, it recently dropped ‘Sonsof Spartan’ 2D God of War game on PS5, but did not reveal what future to the franchise will be. But a new leak, however, says Santa Monica is working on ‘new franchise within God of War universe’. In the game, Faye, Kratos wife from the Norse chapter of the franchise, will be reportedly featured in this game as the protagonist.

New Franchise Within God of War

It was first revealed via the LinkedIn account of an employee from Santa Monica, who said he had worked on the story behind a “new franchise within God of War universe” (the Bible of war) series. The developer’s LinkedIn profile was re-uploaded on Resetera on Sunday with a section of the developer’s account, ” A.

The developer, who was senior writer at SIE, said ‘I helped ‘shape narrative vision and creative direction’ at Sony Santa Monica Studio for a new franchise with the God of War universe, characters, storylines and original lore that expanded the popular IP. ” , ‘I’m sure it is worth reading.

But most believe this is the game that Cory Barlog, director of God of War (2018), has been working on. The original idea that Barlog was attempting to create another IP at Santa Monica was the creation of an IP.

Faye to Return as Lead

Industry insider NateTheHate released major details about the alleged Santa Monica project Monday after the leak. The game, the tipster said, is’very much set in God of War universe’ and will feature Faye, Kratos’ wife from the Nor-saga of the series, as the main character.

Moreover, the gameplay is thought to be an adaptation of Norse God of War games (more about action) as described by the tipster. Also, they tipped the release window for the project as well. The new God of War franchise will reportedly be announced this year and released in the first half of 2027, except when it is delayed.

X’s anther source Nick Baker (@Shpeshal_Nick) confirmed that NateTheHate had information, saying the leak matches everything he was told. The game will focus on Faye and have more action, closer to the Devil May Cry series than the newer God of War games according to his sources.

The God of War (2018) story begins with the death of Faye and Kratos, as well as his son Atrus, who is traveling to spread her ashes on the highest mountain in the world. In a flashback sequence, Faye appeared briefly in the sequel God of War Ragnarok. Debra Ann Woll, who played Karen Page in Marvel’s Daredevil TV series, was the character.

But Sony and Santa Monica have yet to reveal the studio’s next God of War project, which is a new one. San Santa Monica confirmed that it was working on a remake of the God of War Greek Trilogy last month at State of Play. The remake is currently in early development of the movie .
