Tecno Spark Go 3 Review: Last of the Sub-Rs 10000 Budget Phones?
As a luxury to necessity, our smartphones have become an extension of our bodies as we can now see. They are one of the most personal possessions that a person has today. But in the past year, phone prices have soared dramatically due to an unprecedented rise in AI adoption, which has led to memory and storage component manufacturers shifting supply of essential smartphone components. In this transitional phase, the industry as a whole has now entered re-defining price segments and redefined what it means to be budget smartphone.
Another of these budget phone that was recently launched in India is the Tecno Spark Go 3 which has been named for . Priced in India at Rs. The handset costs a little more than its predecessor, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage for the sole configuration 8,999. Is more valuable?
Tecno Spark Go 3 Design: A Step Backwards?
- Dimensions – 167.79×77.97×8.19mm
- Weight – 182.6g
- Ingress protection – IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance
- Colours – Aurora Purple, Galaxy Blue, Ink Black, and Titanium Grey
What strikes first when you read the Tecno Spark Go 3 it is very light, slightly more than 182g. At 8, it has adapted to the thin-and–light trend, which is still in its 8th century. One of the exceptions in price bracket is that phone is 19mm thick, a feature which makes it one of many more difficult to s. But even if you have relatively large hands, it is not the right one-handed use of . Gymnastics One corner of the display needs some gymnastics to go from one corner to another.

Tecno Spark Go 3 gets a dual-tone rear panel
Tecno Spark Go 3 ergonomics slightly off with the power button and volume controls on the right side of . If you can reach the power button with a thumb at your finger, volume rockers are not available. But, because of its thin light-like shape, I never felt any pain while holding it for long hours when playing games or watching videos.
To the touch, it feels cheap to see a plastic frame and polycarbonate back panel as well as the plastic Frame and the poly carbonate Back Panel are both relatively thin. Nevertheless, that is fine for a budget handset but it does not require s. Additionally, the Tecno phone has a 3-point . A 5mm audio jack, a USB Type-C port and’microphone on the bottom’ are used as an antenna for this top (and he/she gets elated speaker grille). Spark Go 3 is available in three different colours. The Ink Black option is our review unit. But the Galaxy Blue option also looks good to eyes in the marketing material, as does .
When I came to the front, I was disappointed when I saw thick bezels around the display. That’s what we also got with last year’S Spark Go series phone, but that is something we have a lot of the same thing as our own. The company decided to provide the handset with a waterdrop-style notch for the selfie camera, which in I see is’step backwards from the hole-punch display cutout on the Spark Go 2′. It seems like a time when the cutouts on selfie cameras were synonymous with hole-punch screen.

Tecno Spark Go 3’s button layout
The phone also attempts its hand at bringing the device to an “advance” feel of modernity with a dual-tone back panel, as the pill-shaped camera module is slightly different shade around it. This looks like a reference to Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro line-up design but without the camera plateau raised it seems to be an inspiration for its low-budget series. This is a nice addition to the aesthetics of , and apparently no other value can be added.
To put it simply, the Tecno Spark Go 3 tells different stories through its front and back designs.
Tecno Spark Go 3 Display: Bright Enough
- Screen size – 6.75-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) IPS display
- Refresh rate – Up to 120Hz of refresh rate
The Tecno Spark Go 3’s display is 6 inches high, and has an appearance of 6. That’s a large size, 75 inches diagonally (75 inches) for watching YouTube videos, movies or playing games. Nevertheless, I tested and found performance at different points inconsistent with ‘s performance. During the binging of Modern Family on Jio Hotstar, I found that the colours were often washed out while edges of the subject in frame seemed to be hazardous.
On YouTube videos just looked boring, meanwhile, like . They never come out and you want more,’ . Tecno Spark Go 3 promises HD+ resolution, but the clarity from that standard is not available. However, when using the UI or playing games, the story is turned in favor of the better.

Tecno Spark Go 3 features a large enough display
I played Subway Surfers and Temple Run 2, but the 120Hz adaptive refresh rate was enough for me to get it right. The motion blur around the characters seemed good, and image saturation levels were fine, too, as was the case with . Besides, the company also ships a pre-installed screen protector.
Its outdoor performance is another big upside for , which has a further major downside. Though the tech firm doesn’t officially reveal the peak brightness numbers, I found that even under direct sunlight a phone was bright enough to display it — impressive for if you are buying sane. Yet, the reflections do tad bit ruin user experience (which is passable) and are also used as a means to make it look like he/she does not needing an image of his reflection.
Although there are some inconsistencies, the display on the Tecno Spark Go 3 is decent for its price segment.
Tecno Spark Go 3 Performance: Games Remain Playable
- Chipset – Unisoc T7250
- RAM – 4GB of LPDDR4x
- Storage – 64GB
Let’s say the performance now, let’t we talk about . A good device for its price is certainly the Tecno Spark Go 3 which can be used by s. The handset rarely lagged in the hands of a during daily use. The chipset, Unisoc T7250, can handle most tasks (such as browsing the internet, scrolling through Reels on Instagram or playing games such as Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and Asphalt Legends), arcade titles like Subway Surfers and Temple Run 2 are also popular.

Tecno Spark Go 3 offers smooth performance in day-to-day usage
Testing I was able to keep up until five or six apps running in the background before the Tecno Spark Go 3 started throwing hiccups. It seems like a good 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM on most days, but when you have multiple tabs open in. browser the phone may have used more memory than it has been for that day. But thankfully, it has an option like a memory swap function that allows the handset to use part of its 64GB of onboard storage when needed.
I did some benchmark tests and compared them with its main competitor, the Moto G06 Power which also sells at the same price in India (and has similar hardware) It was the phone that Tecno’s phone outperformed MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme chipset-powered Motorola handset on several benchmark tests, and overtook it on others.

My frame drops were very rare, especially when I am playing with . However, the Tecno Spark Go 3 did not go well initially when running Asphalt Legends. It also has a good arcade game system for the phone, which is . BGMI was played for nearly 40 minutes, and I was impressed with the handset’s thermal control. It did get slightly warm on medium settings, but it never throttled the device. Therefore, games were playable all the time. Another reason that is to be kept in mind, is that it is not a gaming device. It is still good performance, however.’ .
Tecno Spark Go 3 Cameras: Lacks Clarity, but Still Decent
- Main Rear – 13-megapixel
- Selfie camera – 8-megapixel
I am not sure that the single 13-megapixel shooter on the Tecno Spark Go 3 was my expectations, but it did go far enough for me to see what would be an accurate statement. With the property available, it seems like a phone should be bigger sensor-sized. The problem does not only apply to the sensor size, though, as argues. Photos are slightly undersaturated and a blurred, unresolved photos of . Tecno’s image processing does not justify the phone’d imaging capabilities. Things get worse with 2x digital zoom, as image pixels begin to be ripped apart by the contrast of twox images.

The performance is below par even for a budget handset, even with the same performance as it does for an average phone. Subjects in the picture appear to be blunt at their edges, a phrase that is used as ”. The images do not have character; they are largely bland, mostly boring pictures. Yet, Prima facie The images are a good one. But considering that people buying especially in this price segment don’t expect DSLR-level camera performance. Hence, for those who would like to just capture special moments so that they can remember the future of it, this would be enough.

Plus you can take good pictures with its 8-megapixel selfie camera. Closer, details are clear even hair strands taken separately. Yet, other problems with the rear camera still persist. Videography front The recording is stable, but microphones barely capture any sound on the video.

In general, the front and rear cameras on the Tecno Spark Go 3 are good for moments but not for “photography” purposes.
Tecno Spark Go 3 Battery: The Redeeming Factor
- Capacity – 5,000mAh
- Fast charging – 15W
- Charger – Included
Tecno Spark Go 3 really makes it in the battery department, which is what’s so good about this? PC Mark Work 3 On the PC mark work 3, . the phone for about 16 hours and 51 minutes, 0 Battery Life test. its 5,000 mAh batterylasted for a day and. half even in everyday use,’ – who has been charged with severe batteries — was the only one that lasts 24 hours without using it. Nevertheless, when you play games or scroll through Instagram, you can drain the phone very quickly. Tecno Spark Go 3’s battery was nearly 10 percent exhausted during a 30-minute-long session of BGMI that consumed almost all the energy.

Tecno Spark Go 3 charges via a USB Type-C port
And a catch is there, but it’s. 0 to 100 percent charge, which is very long for the phone to be charged by . In the box, I charged that handset with the 15W charging adapter and the USB Type-C cable Tecno has in the handset. I tested the Spark Go 3 from 0 to 18 percent battery in 30 minutes and from 1 to 37 percent in an hour. But it took a whopping 4 hours and 25 minutes from 0 percent battery to 100 percent.
Tecno Spark Go 3 Verdict
returning to whether it is more valuable than its predecessor. In most ways, I would say yes, it does. The Tecno Spark Go 3, which costs Rs. Good shit 8,999 in India, is good. It would be a good battery life, great gaming performance and the overall experience for someone looking for an entry-level smartphone to get into? And even if you are elderly in the family, or someone buying their first handset, it may be a good choice.
You click a lot of pictures, and are often doing lots of multitasking.’ But it may be the best option to choose from when you have dozens of photos or do so many things that make up your mind? But if so, you should spend a few thousand more on your budget and purchase the Vivo T4x 5G. The Moto G06 Power has similar features but a better user experience than the one you are looking for an alternative in the same price range, though.
