Assassins Creed Black Flag Resynced Revealed With Gameplay Trailer Launch Set for July 9
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynce D, gaming’S worst kept secret of gaming, is finally official. A 30-minute reveal show aired Thursday, Ubisoft finally took the covers off of the game after a series of leaks had left little to imagination in ‘the cover-up’. Black Flag Resynced features improved visuals, reworked combat, improved parkour and naval gameplay as well as new narrative content built from the ground-up with the latest iteration of Ubisoft’s in-house Anvil engine. The game will be released on July 9, 2026, across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X just as leaks had revealed.
Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Resynced is one of the most popular entries in the series, and it is a full remake of cult-like version of The Game. Under Ubisoft Singapore, the remake was developed by development; the studio has promised a “faithful” replica of the 2013 original. Ubisoft has categorically stated that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is not a remake of the movie. It will be a solo pirate adventure with narrative elements.
It has retained key parts of the original starting with Matt Ryan, who is voice actor for Edward Kenway, Black Flag’s iconic protagonist. Historically, ship battle, naval exploration and historic characters (infamous real-life pirates), action packed parkour and combat return are all examples of ships fighting.

It’s also a remake, and the game has dozens of improvements, changes as well as new content. The visuals show the most obvious uplift of . The new images, which are redesigned with Black Flag Resynced, include punchy, vivid tropical environments, bustling pirate towns and deep blue seas. It uses the latest evolution of the Anvil engine, pictured in 2025’s Assassin’S Creed Shadows (Alcoil) and its game is based on an early version of this new model.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced features global illumination (RTGI) and reflections, optimized performance with 60fps options on consoles; graphics assets built from the ground up; and fully modernized water rendering and simulation. In Assassin’s Creed 4 the result is an amazing recreation of West Indies.

New Quests, Stories
The game also features new additions to quests and stories, as well as a host of other elements that were not found in the original. In the game, Black Flag Resynced will have three new characters that are assigned as officers on the Jackdaw, your ship in the character’s role as a police officer. Each character has a unique naval combat skill. It’s more customisable than the Jackdaw itself, which has re-enhanced skins and an all-new ability to add pets — so you can take along with a cat or monkey companion on the high seas. In addition to 10 new sea shanties, the game will feature 10 more of the original ones from the 2013 game.
In the remake, there will also be more missions and new scenes involving Matt Ryan, Edward’s original voice actor (and the original cast) and his other roles. In addition, Ubisoft has promised more stories and missions for side characters such as Black Beard and Stede Bonnet.
Reworked Combat, Parkour, Naval Gameplay
combat, has been completely reworked and is now more action focused on the word Crucially, fighting. A new visceral takedowns, parrying mechanics and quick-fire rope dart (and pistol moves) will be added to Black Flag Resynced with a different archetype of enemy – the Demolitionist. Ubisoft demonstrated a visceral, smooth combat gameplay that is inspired by the battle in Assassin’s Creed Shadows (the fight of Crash-Screeded shadows) during the reveal showcase.
The increase in Stealth and parkour abilities comes with the boost of , too. Edward Kenway is now able to crouch and dive anywhere underwater. In addition, as AC Shadows do, low light conditions and staying in the shadows will have an effect on Edward’s visibility. A better parkour move is to use manual jump, side and heigh-gaining back ejects (and even faster interruptions between parkor moves), and more advanced parkur moves.
Similarly, naval combat (a major part of Black Flag’s main line), as well as new secondary weapons on the ship, has been reworked.
Additionally, the remake has dynamic weather and its effects on destructible objects in the world. The water physics model of sailing has also been refining by Ubisoft for a more realistic simulation of the sea. The developer is also releasing more details of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced in the coming weeks.
