Assassins Creed: Black Flag Resynced Will Reportedly Release in July Reveal Set for Next Week
Ubisoft is said to be preparing to reveal the long-rumoured remake of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag. The studio announced the release of concept art from the remake in March and said that the game was’very soon coming to be played’. The remake, officially titled Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, will be released on July 9, 2026, according to a new report.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake Will be Revealed Soon
In a statement on April 16, Ubisoft announced that it would push the announcement to next week, Insider Gaming reported Thursday that the Black Flag remake was due for release before its launch. Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Resynced will be released on PC and consoles July 9 (according to the report) according to this report. Though it is yet to be officially announced by Ubisoft and has not been released since, an official announcement will now follow next week.
This article, too, also reflected some light on the Black Flag remake. The game has reportedly been “completely reworked” and will feature new content and updates. According to the report, Crucially, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will not be an RPG.
Large open-world RPGs were recently released in the series, including last year’s Assassin’S Creed Shadows, which was one of the first games to play at least once. A notable exception is the Assassin’s Creed Mirage by 2024 (a smaller open world, ditching RPG mechanics in an attempt to honor older games of the series).

In a statement last year, it was reported that the Black Flag remake would feature RPG mechanics and would be released sometime in early 2026. The game is also said to have a host of combat, loading times and more improvements to the game.
PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2013 had Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag released initallly as a follow-up for the game, which was later called ‘Black Flag’. The game is based on the story of pirate Edward Kenway in the West Indies from the early 18th century, following his journey as part of the conflict between assassins and templars. In Black Flag there were open sea exploration and naval combat missions.
