Elden Ring Film Adaptation Sets 2028 Release Date; Full Cast Revealed as Production Begins
band Bandai Namco, and film production company A24 have said they will be releasing the Elden Ring live-action film adaptation on March 3, 2028. The film, written and directed by Alex Garland will be shot for IMAX with production due to begin soon after the movie was released. Also, the two companies announced the full cast of the film Kit Connor (left), Ben Whishaw (right) Cailee Spaeny (center), Tom Burke and other actors.
As soon as the cast confirmed that Elden Ring movie will be produced in spring 2026, A24 and Bandai Namco said Monday. Last year, the live-action adaptation of FromSoftware’s action-RPG was announced last year with Garland, who has starred on sci-fi films such as Ex Machina and Annihilation, set to write and direct The Live-ACTION version of its film.
The producer, George RR Martin, who was involved in the game’s story and setting with developer FromSoftare, is Peter Rice, Andrew MacdonalD, Allon Reich (who has been working on the film), and Vince Gerardis.
Elden Ring Full Cast Revealed

Details of the film’s story and characters are not yet revealed, but it will likely be set in the Lands Between (the magical world from the titular game) – the fantasy realm.
The movie adaptation of the Elden Ring is “the biggest and most ambitious project ever to date” with a reported budget of more than $100 millon, Hollywood Reporter said. It is estimated that principal photoghotography on the film wil lasts approximately 100 days. The Marty Supreme of last year’s A24 was the most expensive film ever made before Elden Ring, which is a 24-year-old’s highest paid movie prior to its release. Timothée Chalamet is reportedly paid about $70 million for the Academy Award-nominated sports drama that was produced in December of 2008.
It’s not just the live-action video game adaptation A24, a New York-based independent film production company, is working on this. The company is collaborating with Hideo Kojima’s KoJimA Productions to bring Death Stranding to the big screen. A Quiet Place Day One will be a film directed by Michael Sarnoski, who is known for his work on the movie The Death Stranding.
Elden Ring was released in 2022 on PC and consoles, becoming an icon of the culture. It received widespread critical praise, winning several Game of the Year awards. Elden Ring has sold more than 30 million copies and is one of the best games ever made by a , selling over 30million copies.
