Remake of First Assassins Creed Game Said to Be in the Works at Ubisoft

Assassin’s Creed Remake in the Works

The Assassin’s Creed remake project will be the first incarnation of this game, according to tipster on X who has been quoted by a source for his latest version of the film.

The Ubisoft also announced the release of a remake for one of the earlier games in the history-hopping action-adventure series, according to Insider Gaming and was part of an ongoing sequel. Nevertheless, the publication was unable to confirm which AC game the remake would return its original version. Ubisoft has yet to confirm other Assassin’s Creed remake projects that are currently under development.

On PS3 and Xbox 360, Assassin’s Creed 1 was released to end Ubisoft’S most popular franchise with the release of a newer game called Revelation 1, which ended its series. In 1191, the game was set during Third Crusade in The Holy Land; it also told a current-day story about Assassins and Templars through two protagonists Altar Ibn-La’Ahad and Desmond Miles.

Back in 2024, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said that the company was developing multiple remakes of older Assassin’s Creed games.

First, players can be excited about some remakes that will allow us to revisit some of the games we’ve made in the past and modernize them; there are worlds in some older Assassin’s Creed games which still have very rich levels,” Guillemot said at the time.

Last week, the first of those remakes was revealed last week as . A series of leaks led to a showcase for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, which was announced at the show. In the Black Flag remake, graphical and gameplay improvements are also added to the film’s sequel (the original movie) as well as reworked combat, new story content, and more.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X on July 9.

The Assassin’s Creed games are also under development by Ubisoft, which is also developing new incarnations of the game. In 2022 the next mainline title in the series, Assassin’s Creed Hexe, was announced; but is yet to be fully revealed with an official title. The game has no release window, but according to insider gaming it could be released in 2027.

In the 16th-century witch trials in the Roman Empire, Assassin’s Creed Hexe will be “a darker, different AC experience,” Ubisoft has said.
